Microbiology Laboratory which has a fundamental role in the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and control processes of the diseases is equipped with the technical equipment, where 350 separate tests from a wide spectrum can be applied, at international standards by closely following the changes and innovations in its field in order to maximize the quality of education.
Microbiology Laboratory consist of 7 different laboratories.
In Microscopy Laboratory, the procedures such as staining, microscopic examination and identification of samples collected from various cultures are conducted.
In Sterilization Laboratory, the demonstration of how to sterilize the contaminated materials and sterilization steps are taught.
In Microorganism Identification Laboratory; various identification procedures concerning the microorganisms made from cultured samples.
In Immunofluorescence Microscope Laboratory; the stimulation of samples by utilizing fluorescent markers and examination/marking of cell parts and microorganisms.
In Culturing Laboratory, procedures concerning which process will be used for the samples and which media they will be cultured is taught, and incubation in appropriate temperatures.
In Culture Media Preparation Laboratory, the culturing media which will establish a appropriate environment for microorganisms to reproduce.
