Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Laboratory, with the help of physical agents, carries out patient evaluation and treatment practices in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in a clinical setting.
Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Laboratory consist of 5 different laboratories.
In Basic Training Laboratory, the special evaluation techniques and treatment approaches in terms of neurological, orthopedic, rheumatologic, gynecological, obstetric, urogynecologic, geriatric, pediatric, oncologic diseases into consideration as well as athlete health and ergonomic problems are taught.
In Physical Agents and Electrotherapy Laboratory, the chemical, magnetic, thermal and therapeutic and deep heat treatment’s effects of electric currents are taught on-site with equipment.
In Therapeutic Exercise Laboratory, exercise practices that aims to improve the individual’s motion range, mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance, muscle power, resistance and fundamental daily-life abilities are taught. Thus, exercises concerning joint motion range, stretching and relaxing, muscle strengthening etc. are showed with detail in Therapeutic Exercise Laboratory.
In Manual Therapy Laboratory, the physical therapy methods that do not include any type of device or equipment in order to improve motion range for musculoskeletal system diseases, and mobility losses in joint and soft tissues are taught.
In Fitness Laboratory, the musculoskeletal system evaluations and posture analyses on healthy individuals are taught. Exercise trainings (Pilates, yoga, etc.), protective physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices for healthy individuals are practiced.
