Multidisciplinary Laboratory facilitates the clarification of the processes regarding biology and medical sciences provided in the Biophysics, Physiology and Pharmacology courses, and the monitoring of the mechanical, physical and biochemical functions and systems of the human body. In addition, laboratory supports such as method development, sample preparation, sample storage, etc. are provided for the researchers.
Multidisciplinary Laboratory consist of 6 different laboratories.
In Electrophysiology Laboratory 1 (EEG/EMG), the spontaneous electrical activities of neural system and muscles are recorded, and the recorded data are analyzed and their functions are evaluated.
In Electrophysiology Laboratory 2 de (EOG/Spirometer); the volume and capacity of lungs are measured by implementing passive and active respiratory function tests. Thus, functional status of lungs are estimated by utilizing these volume and capacity data.
In Electrophoresis Laboratory, molecules of biomolecules such as protein, DNA and RNA in the gel or paper medium which is electrocuted, are separated by their electrical loads and molecular weight.
In vitro and In vivo Organ Examination Laboratory, examine the functions of isolated heart, smooth and striated muscle preparates as well as their reactions to applied medication.
In Climatic Test Laboratory, the physiologic responses of biological systems in an artificially hot or cold environmental conditions.
In Viscosimeter Laboratory; viscosity measurement of body fluids are conducted for the diagnosis of various diseases.
