Child Development department’s aim is to train child development experts who are able to diagnose and evaluate the children and adolescents between the ages of 0-18 with normal development, or special needs, or acute and chronic diseases, and for children in need of protection or under risk, and who are able to provide developmental family counseling services and support programs. Child development department has application based education system as well as theoretical based education system. Application based courses are provided for students to gain fundamental knowledge and skills on the field by methods such as creative drama prepared for children and teenagers. Child Development Workshop and Application Unit aims for students to gain experience before starting their careers, through practicing the theoretical educations they had received on their respective fields.
